Our Love Story

We first met in July 2020. Robyn was fashionably late to our first date at Linda’s Tavern and luckily Brian didn’t peace out before she arrived. We hit it off and a few weeks later came upon our first major relationship milestone: Robyn introduced Brian to her dog Kona, who gave Brian his stamp of approval, and the rest is history.

We love traveling, and one of our favorite spots for a long weekend trip is Seaside, on the Oregon Coast. In December 2025, Brian planned a trip to Seaside under the pretense of spending a fun weekend together before his work travel picked up and before Robyn had to leave on her holiday trip with family. On a lovely morning walk along the beach, Brian proposed to a completely surprised Robyn, who responded with the easiest “yes” ever.

We are so excited to get married and celebrate with everyone! We love Kauai and have traveled there over the past few years for Robyn’s half marathons. It is a magical place and we can’t wait to be there with you all. Be sure to check out our recommendations, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Getting There

By Flight

Fly into Lihue Airport (LIH)

Rental Car

Public transportation is limited.  We recommend renting a car for the duration of your stay.

Once You're There

Experience the beaches, shops and restaurants in the area.  Take a surfing lesson!  Make sure to try the chocolate chip banana bread from Kukuiula Market.  Stop by Kauai Coffee Company for a self-guided tour of their grounds, and make sure to bring home some fresh roasted beans.  Head over to the Koloa Rum Company to sample some delicious local rum!  There's plenty to do on this island, check out our recommendations for more ideas!

Where to Stay

We recommend staying on the south side of the island as that's where the wedding and boat ride take place.  Stay at the Grand Hyatt Kauai or any place in Koloa or Poipu.  The northern side of the island is also beautiful and has great beaches, just be aware of the 1-1.5 hour drive to reach the south side.

Length of Stay

Our wedding celebration only lasts 2 days (October 10 and 11).  We will be staying for about a week, checking out some of our favorite spots on Kauai and visiting with friends and family.  We recommend making the most of your trip here and staying for a few extra days!

You Must Have Some Questions

Wedding Colors

Our wedding palette is inspired by the natural beauty of Kauai—soft ocean blues, coastal greens, warm sand tones, and romantic ivory—bringing together the colors of sea, sky, and sunset.
